Local Bus Service
The local bus service on Paxos provides a reliable way to travel between the island’s three main villages: Gaios, Loggos, and Lakka. The bus runs four times daily during the summer season (as of 2024), operating Monday through Saturday.
Current bus fares are:
- Lakka to Gaios: €3.00
- Loggos to Gaios: €3.00
- Loggos to Lakka: €1.80
The main bus route follows a circular pattern, connecting all major villages. Buses start from Lakka in the morning, stopping at Loggos and Gaios before returning through the same route. The last departure from Gaios is typically at 17:30.
Taxi Services
Paxos maintains a small fleet of just five official taxis, making advance booking essential, especially during peak season. You’ll find taxi stands in each main village, with the primary stand located next to the bus station in Gaios.
